  I’ve been a regular visitor to the Tatamagouche area for a number of years. There is no place better to stay. Don is a great host, the property is well maintained and the accommodations first class. Although it’s a little cooler, I prefer staying there in lobster season. Don will fix you up with a proper pot and gas burner, you can walk to the lobster boats docked at Barrachois Harbour, across the bridge from the marina and get fresh caught lobster right off the boat. It’s a short 5 minute drive into the village, where you’ll find a supermarket, liquor store, pub food, pizza and several decent restaurants. You can relax and watch the boats from the harbour and the marina. You can day trip to explore nearby hiking and biking trails, parks and historic sites. Not to mention the winery in nearby Malagash a distillery in River John and the recently opened craft brewery right in the village.

  Great views and spacious cottages. Only down sides were all the cottages were on one water system so sometimes water pressure was low in shower and sinks. And there were no clotheslines to hang your towels etc. on after a day at the beach. Other than that a relaxing stay!
